Merlin & Bauer – The Smith Family

This is one of the sweetest and most fun families I know! When I was contacted by Emilee to do a photography session of her entire family I was thrilled! I have been secretly wanting to photograph her fur-kids for years now…. Emilee and Eric have had a busy year, their little boy Finnley is almost a year old now, this is a great age for a family photography session and I am more than thrilled to capture this family at this moment in time!
Let’s start with the fur-kids. Merlin, age 7 and Bauer, age 6.
These fur-kids were a blast to photograph – lots of fun and energy. They are very well mannered and trained – very impressive. Bauer is on the left side sitting and Merlin is on the right standing.
Merlin and Bauer are the best big brothers a kid could ask for… pretty soon, Finn will be sharing all his secrets with his furry friends.
I bet some of you are wondering if it is hard to photograph two dogs and a kiddo…. it was not hard with this family, but it does take patience! Like I said earlier, these dogs are very well behaved(Finn is too :)), but of course, “dogs will be dogs” – enjoy this fun “blooper”!
We did get a great photograph in this pose!
I LOVE this collage of photographs of these crazy bearded collies running towards the camera – “hair” flying and paws flying makes me smile 🙂
The sun was glowing the evening of our session – isn’t it just beautiful! This is my favorite photograph of the entire family! Thanks Emilee and Eric, it was an honor to photograph your family!
