The FW Pet Food Pantry for the first time hosted the 2013 Pupn-nic and Ice Cream Social to raise funds and awareness for their program. Be sure to check their website and facebook page and read their mission! http://www.fwpetfoodpantry.com/ I was honored to be able to participate and also offer a photography mini session with some of the proceeds going back to the FW Pet Food Pantry! The event took place at Shoaff Park here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I had my normal booth set-up in the pavilion, displaying some images from my favorite in-home formal sessions.

Soon after I was asked by the FW Pet Food Pantry to offer a Picture your Pet, Photo Mini Session with a “summer theme” my creative juices got flowing! For me, the first thing I thought of was a nice cold, iced, bottle of Coca-Cola! I also knew that since I have been collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia for over 15 years I would have so many awesome photo props for this photo mini-session set-up! The idea of the bicycle with the basket of flowers and Coca-Cola bottles on the back was the very first idea that came to mind – from there everything else fell into place, including the small detail of the cute little red striped straws in all the full bottles of Coke! Last minute my wonderful parents found the cute little bistro table that was the perfect addition to the set-up for those pets who had their owners in the photo too! I think it was a hit and the themed was enjoyed by all!
There were many many pet friendly businesses with a booth at this event! It is always great to promote lovely local businesses. As a fellow local pet business I can personally say these business truly love their job and have your pets best interest at heart!
Some of the wonderful vendors include: Flying Colors, PUPcakes, Pampered Pets B&B, Food Trucks, and MANY more! Paw’s N’ Claw’s
There were also plenty of things to do for the kids(not the furry kind) and those who are kids-at-heart!
The owners and fur-kids that came out to support the event were incredible – the event was noon-3pm and was steady busy the entire time!
There were also many adoptable pets from the SPCA, FW ACC and many rescue groups! We hope they all found their forever home!
It was a gorgeous day – the weather for the most part was mild, and the fur-kids did have a great time enjoying the pools!
This Golden not only enjoyed drinking from the pool but loved splashing and “taking a dip” in it – I don’t think the Golden realized the pools was a little too small for him/her! The Golden’s owner was SO embarrassed at his/her actions! But I was totally enjoying this Golden’s play time in the pool! The Golden also made a friend, a Bulldog puppy!
Paw Prints Pet Photography has participated in many dog friendly events here in Fort Wayne….. therefore we have seen many raffle events and raffle items. This by far was the largest participating I have seen in reference to donations for raffle items! Items big and small – from training sessions, grooming services, baskets of toys, FW restaurant gift certificates and even some fine jewelry(paw print and doggie related of course). BIG THANKS to all those businesses who donated! Because of your generous donations many people purchased raffle tickets and those ticket sales go directly to the FW Pet Food Pantry!
