Once again, Paws and Remember hosted the annual HALLOWEEN PET PARADE to benefit Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
This event is fun for the whole family, including your fur-kid! Fun and for a good cause!Unfortunately, this year, the weather was rainy and cold – but that did not keep people and pets from coming and enjoying the event!
There are always great vendors that also participate in this event – local pet businesses and rescue all in once place!
Some of those included: Pampered Pet Bed and Biscuit, Indiana Bulldog Rescue, Dog Psychology and Training, A Cut Above, St Joe Center Vet and Paw Print Pet Photography and many more!
Michelle and her sidekick are always “dressed to impress”! Last year, they arrived as a Vet and a Dog – Michelle of course was the dog!

Some of the costumes were simple and sweet while others were crazy and over the top! There was a wide variety this year!
These next few were some of my favorite costumes this year! Love the “candy corn” dog, so colorful! The “hotdog” dog and rolling stand was so creative and cute! The middle image is of Stewie the handyman – isn’t he just a stud! I had the opportunity to photograph his fur-brother Couper, click here(coming soon) to see some images from his Faithful Friend Session.
I believe these fur-balls know how cute and handsome they look!
This “leprechaun” caught my attention and I could have photographed this sweet soul all day!
After some time had passed and people had a chance to visit the vendors and visit the raffle table, the famous Pet Parade begins! Many local pet and “other” businesses donated products, gift certificates and services to be in the raffle – because of this, more funds were raised to go directly to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control. BIG THANKS to all those businesses, big and small, who supports this event!
Fortunately, the rain held off during the parade. It brings such joy to see dogs and their humans walking the streets of Fort Wayne bold and proud!
Right after the parade, everyone gathers to hear the announcement from the “celebrity” judges who the winner is from each category(Cutest Pet, Best Combo, Biggest Pet, Most Unusual and more!). At the judges table you should recognize a few familiar faces… Mr. Mark Mellinger and Mr. Tom Didier to name a few…
BTW that IS the cutest bat I have ever seen!!!
Next the raffle drawing began – once again, big thank you to all who donated a raffle item! There was a wide variety of items, something for everyone!
This leprechaun found his “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow”… his human won a raffle item full of doggie goodies!
Once again this event was a big success! Big thanks to all the supporters and Paws and Remember Staff(Kim, Lynn and many more) and volunteers! Thanks again for having me – I LOVE photographing this fun annual event!
